We May Never Lose Again

Tom Savage

The taste of champagne
Bangs at the door of your car.
Give the farm the money.
You’ve got to feel good.
Why are you higher than me?
Geronimo had a good swing
Until he stopped being a Native American.
Experience wisdom outside the box.
Circumstance says who you are.
Misjudgment and mismanagement
Are looking for a mister who isn’t there.
Walk through the bored
And go beyond sleep.
Watch your life for a while
And don’t let it go.
A lot of faith is needed
But has to be found.
Intangibles take time to emerge.
Win or lose can be predetermined.
That shouldn’t be but is.
Patrician wars don’t exist anymore.
